PowerPoint HW1 – Fundraising Event (30 points)

Objective: Design a PowerPoint presentation promoting a fictional fundraising event. You
choose the cause and event details.

Content Requirements (Minimum 4 slides):

 Slide 1: Introduce the event and the cause
 Slide 2: Describe how the money will be used
 Slide 3: Date, time, and location of the event
 Slide 4: Contact info and call-to-action

Design and Feature Requirements:

1. Apply a design theme and customize the color or font variant
2. Add a gradient or pattern background to at least one slide
3. Include at least three images, and apply Picture Style to one
4. Use two levels of bullet points on at least one slide
5. Insert one SmartArt diagram or shape with a Quick Style
6. Apply animations (entrance or emphasis) to at least 3 objects
7. Apply a transition effect (e.g., fade, push) to all slides
8. Add transition sound
9. Run the presentation and preview timing

Saving and Submission:

 Save as: PPT HW1_YourName.pptx
 Create a PDF handout with 6 slides per page (horizontal) using Microsoft Print to

PDF
 Submit both files (i.e., *.pptx and *.pdf) on Canvas
