Each essay should consist of:

  • a running head: the student’s last name and page number in the top right-hand corner
  • a header: the student’s name, the instructor’s name, course identification, and the date in the upper left-hand corner of the first page only

  • body paragraphs: three paragraphs of at least 5 sentences, each explaining one point of the thesis; The writer must provide strong transitions between paragraphs.
  • a conclusion: a paragraph of at least six sentences, with the first sentence offering a reworded version of the thesis statement; The conclusion should not introduce new information but may make a prediction or suggestion about the topic.
