Week 4: Homework
Search for an article in the
International Journal of Health Care Quality Assurance in ProQuest Central located in the DeVry Online Library (ask the Librarian for assistance). The article should describe a successful quality improvement project in healthcare. You can also use other healthcare journals or publications to search for quality improvement projects in healthcare. Analyze the project, the performance improvement model, and the processes applied. The analysis will require that the models and processes used in the QI Project be compared with those studied in the course text and lesson. This is due Week 4 (graded; 50 points).
The paper should be approximately 2-3 pages in length (exclusive of title and reference page), double-spaced, and 12-point font. Submission must include a references page, citing your references in APA format.

Documentation and Formatting | 10 | The paper should be approximately 1-2 typed pages in length, double-spaced, and using 12-point font (APA format). The page count does not include your cover page or References page. You must include in-text citations and a References page, in APA format. |
Organization and Cohesiveness | 10 | Each sentence should be related to the next sentence to create cohesiveness. The content should relate based on the topic. |
Editing | 10 | A quality paper will be free of any spelling, punctuation, or grammatical errors. Sentences and paragraphs will be clear, concise, and factually correct. |
Content | 20 | The final paper should analyze the project, the performance improvement model and the process applied. The analysis will require that the models and processes used in the QI Project be compared with those studied in the textbook |
Total | 50 | A quality paper will meet or exceed all of the above requirements. |
