DiagramAnswer Based on the scenario provided, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to create a data flow diagram (DFD) for the Medical Center of DeVry: Step 1: Identify External Entities External entities are the sources and destinations of information entering and leaving the system. In this case, the external entities could be the Patient, Physician, Scheduling Clerk, Registration Clerk, Radiology Technician, and Radiologist. Step 2: Identify Processes Processes are the activities or functions that transform the data from one form to another. In this scenario, the processes could be “Schedule Examination”, “Check-in Patient”, “Perform Examination”, and “Evaluate Examination”. Step 3: Identify Data Stores Data stores are repositories of data in the system. In this scenario, the data stores could be “Patient File”, “Radiology Schedule File”, and “Encounter Database”. Step 4: Identify Data Flows Data flows are the routes that data takes between external entities, processes, and data stores. In this scenario, the data flows could be “Demographic and Insurance Information”, “Test and Diagnosis Information”, “Appointment Date and Time”, “Check-in Confirmation”, “Examination Data”, and “Examination Report and Diagnosis”. Step 5: Draw the DFD Using a software like Microsoft Visio, start by placing the external entities around the edges of the diagram. Then, place the processes in the middle of the diagram. Connect the entities and processes with arrows representing the data flows. Finally, represent the data stores as two parallel lines and connect them to the relevant processes with arrows. Remember, arrows should be labeled with the name of the data that is flowing, and each process should have at least one data flow in and one data flow out. The direction of the arrow indicates the direction of the data flow. Step 6: Review and Refine the DFD Review the DFD to ensure that it accurately represents the scenario. Make any necessary adjustments to improve clarity or accuracy. Step 7: Submit Your Lab Once you’re satisfied with your DFD, submit it according to your instructor’s guidelines. Please note that this is a general guide and the specifics may vary depending on the exact requirements of your assignment and the features of the software you’re using.

In this week’s discussion, you are going to explore how the field of Psychology researches topics. For this discussion, you will explore your research area of interest through an exploration of the division of APA that most aligns with your research interest. Please go to the APA Divisions web page and click “View All Divisions.” Choose a division that most closely aligns with your research interests and go to that division’s website. Look around the page and see what topics are currently being researched and talked about. Also, go to the journal for that division (each division of APA has its own journal(s) & the journal of the division will be noted somewhere on the page) and read through the table of contents of the current and/or past issues to see what topics are currently being researched. You may also need to do a little exploring in our library databases to get a full list of articles in your journal (if it’s not on the division’s webpage). Spend some time exploring current trends in research in your sub-field of psychology. After you explore the current research trends in your area, please select one of the constructs that is being explored in your division and read at least 3 empirical journal articles on that construct. After you read these articles, please answer the questions below (Please note that a construct in psychology refers to any non-tangible concept or psychological experience that cannot be seen/measured in a physical sense, but exists in terms of experience. For example, extraversion, leadership, forgiveness, gratitude, anger, etc. are all constructs. They are real “things” but are not necessarily tangible or existing in a physical sense. In Psychology we are always talking about “constructs”). Please include the following in your discussion post: · First, share with the class what division you examined. · Second, share what research constructs (i.e. leadership, ADHD, COVID, loneliness, telecommuting, forgiveness) seemed to be most popular right now in your subfield · Third, describe the one construct you read about by answering the following: · How did the articles you read theoretically define this construct? · How did the articles you read measure that construct (also known as operational definition)? · What do you notice about how the constructs were defined and the measurement of constructs based on the reading of these three articles? follow all directionsWhen involving stakeholders in the data collection and analysis process, it is essential for them to understand the difference between validated data versus basic data points. It is important to assure the stakeholders that the quantitative data are quality information that has been looked at multiple ways, such as tracking the data by hand, using grid organizers to examine the data, reconciliation reports, and/or verifying data relevant to the benchmarks set. These efforts are driven by a desire to validate the numbers being put into recording spaces (e.g., computers, Excel spreadsheets) and to make sure the numbers look correct, as much as possible. Likewise, when examining qualitative data, you want to validate the information/data that subjects are giving you. For example, you may have the subjects look at and verify the accuracy of transcripts and/or you may read back to them what they said and ask them to confirm, deny, and/or clarify that the information gathered is accurately represented. Another method of validation is triangulation of data in research studies whereby multiple sources of data or multiple approaches to analyzing the data are employed as well as multiple people looking at outcomes to make sure the data look correct. Validated data are generated using data collection and analysis processes that can be replicated and yield similar results in other contexts. A primary intent of involving stakeholders in the use of validated data is to generate trust in the process. Therefore, involving stakeholders in data collection and analysis requires educating them about the related process(es) as simply and precisely as possible, whether they are part of the data being collected or consumers of the reported data. For this Discussion, you will assume the role of a consultant and provide an evidence-based approach for an organization regarding getting stakeholders involved to help with data collection and analysis.  RESOURCESBe sure to review the Learning Resources before completing this activity. Click the weekly resources link to access the resources.  WEEKLY RESOURCES TO PREPARE · Consider the following scenario: You are a consultant coming into an organization to help with data collection and analysis. How will you get the stakeholders involved in the process so that they understand the importance of validated data use, versus nonvalidated data, for the organization?  · Select two scholarly articles that validate your approach with the stakeholders in the scenario. · Review your Levels of Evidence table, consider where and why the articles fit in the table. ( Note: You will include the Levels of Evidence table in your post.)   Solving a Problem in Your CommunityIntroduction: In modern society, mental health issues have become increasingly prevalent, yet access to mental health services remains inadequate in many communities. Individuals facing mental health challenges often encounter long wait times for appointments, limited availability of affordable counseling services, and a pervasive stigma surrounding mental health that discourages seeking help. The COVID-19 pandemic has further exacerbated this problem, intensifying stressors and exacerbating mental health issues among individuals of all ages. In response to this pressing issue, it is imperative to explore effective solutions to improve access to mental health services and address the underlying barriers hindering individuals from seeking support. By implementing targeted interventions and expanding mental health resources, communities can mitigate the impact of mental health challenges and promote overall well-being. This essay will delve into the problem of inadequate access to mental health services and propose viable solutions to address this critical issue, ultimately aiming to enhance mental health outcomes and support individuals in need.

The question asks if age has an impact on the survival chances of MI patients. MI stands for Myocardial Infarction which is commonly referred to as heart attack (Institute of Medicine, 2010). When people grow older, their body organs become weaker, and their functionality drops. This implies that an older patient’s heart is not as strong as a young person’s and in case of a heart attack, the mortality rate for older people is higher. The long-term survival of patients aged 65 and above with acute myocardial infarction is 65% (Kappagoda & Greenwood, 2012). Age affects the survival of MI patients. Younger patients have greater survival rates than older ones. The younger population is generally healthier and stronger; therefore, they have better chances. Their immunity is also higher and this generally boosts their health (Morrow, 2016). On the contrary, the older population is weaker and has minimal chances of surviving a heart attack.References Institute of Medicine (2010).
