Module 5 Required Readings page, these are the questions I encourage you to consider as you discuss these readings on the discussion board: What does Richard Wright advocate for when it comes to mid-twentieth century African American literature? How is literature related to cultural issues like segregation and economics? What does Ellison present as the experience of the Black man in the mid-twentieth century? analyze—not summarize—the significance of that selection. This means that instead of merely retelling the chosen work, this analysis will focus in on the effects or the meaning of the piece through analytical exploration. (
